California Firm Adds Attorney with Bankruptcy Experience
Claire Shin brings debt and foreign litigation background to Los Angeles law firm.
Many consumers and businesses in California have faced the prospect of having to file bankruptcy or avoid foreclosure, meaning attorneys in the state may have seen additional business.
Recently, a Los Angeles-based law firm announced it's adding another attorney to its ranks. Rutter Hobbs & Davidoff said that Claire Shin will join the group and will bring experience in areas such as bankruptcy and real estate insolvency, while also having a background in foreign law.
Brian Davidoff, managing director with the firm, said it is pleased to bring Claire into the fold.
"We are confident that her unique international experience, combined with her bankruptcy expertise and litigation skills, will be of great benefit to our clients and colleagues," Davidoff said.
Recently, the American Bankruptcy Institute announced it has selected a California-based attorney as its president-elect. Geoffrey Berman will serve a one-year term with the organization, of which he has been a member since 1991. He has served in a number of other capacities, including as a vice president of publications.
